Secreted away on the North End of the historic Queen Victoria Building, The Tea Room is an exercise in elegance. The room is handsomely appointed with crystal chandeliers and vested servers. The ritual of vegan high tea includes your selection of tea, a tower of sweets, finger sandwiches and scone with coconut cream & jam. Service was polite and they were quick to bring more of anything we wanted refilled on our towers.

Though I’m super grateful to be able to have a plant-based high tea experience, the food was a bit cafeteria-ish compared to other tea rooms like The Ritz in London. That being said, I’ll still file it as an enjoyable experience , just one without memorable food.
